Ragin' Red
| Ragin' Red was born in Missouri, one of seven children. To help out her family she went to work as a saloon girl. Her father was not too happy about this because he was a very proud man, but since he got hurt in a farming accident he knew the family couldn't make it without her help. Working in the saloon she met up with Jesse and Frank James and the Younger boys. They sweet talked her into joining up with them. After the failed Northfield Bank robbery she decided to move on.....She met and married a gambler and moved to California. After a few years the gambler was shot for cheatin', so Ragin' Red had to go back to work. She met up with Lefty (now known as the Quiet One). Together they bought a saloon called the Sourdough, a great place to wet your whistle and make new friends! |
| Ruth Bendekovics was born in Missouri, which she left when her parents decided to move to California. She met Benny Bendekovics (the Quiet One) in 1980 and they moved to Nevada in 1981, they married in 1982. After traveling around due to Bennys job they settled back in Beatty and bought the "Sourdough Saloon" which they still own today. So when you're in Beatty stop by and "wet your whistle" or get a bite to eat!!! |
