Lefty "the Quiet One"
After moving to Beatty, Nevada from Washington in search of
riches, Lefty and Red Start a Saloon business. Which works into a
prosperous "Adventure"! In the spring of 1901, Lefty is captured
by the Piute Indians, who cut out his tongue to keep him from telling
about the richest mine in Nevada! He is known as the "Quiet One"!
Don't piss him off, if you get into a gunfight with him, watch out!
He's the only right-handed "Lefty" in Nevada!!!
Benny Bendekovics was born in San Bernadino,California. He was in the Navy for 20 yrs. He met
Ruthie (Ragin' Red) in 1980) They got married in Las Vegas,Nevada in 1982. Benny has 1 daughter,
3 grandkids and 3 great grandkids. Benny and Ruthie moved to Beatty, Nevada and bought the
Sourdough Saloon. Whenever you happen to be in Beatty stop by the Sourdough and say hello! Or
better yet stop by and relax, get something to drink & eat, and visit with our locals!! You'll always
